Big Wave | Ton Fawr Art Exhibition

This small but powerful exhibition at the Eco Hub in Aberystwyth showcases work by Coleg Ceredigion students as part of the Ton Fawr / Big Wave Art Collective. Through textiles, installation and mixed media, the exhibition explores themes of peace, sustainability, biodiversity and community connection.

Meg Fuller’s Heddwch O Fewn y Broses (Peace Within the Process) uses knitting to explore mindfulness and calm, inviting visitors to contribute directly to the work. Rochelle Plumb’s Where Peace Grows combines painted foliage and sculptural flowers inspired by pollinator-friendly planting projects at Nanteos Walled Gardens, celebrating biodiversity, collective care and our connection to nature. Kassia Walker-Penn’s A Polluted Current takes a more confrontational approach, using recycled plastics and salvaged waste to reflect on pollution and humanity’s impact on the natural world.

Visitors have described the exhibition as “thought-provoking” and “inspiring,” with one commenting on how the work “makes you think about waste + nature.”

The exhibition is open to view at the Eco Hub on Thursdays between 5:30pm and 7:30pm and Saturdays 10:30-12:30pm.
