The Aberystwyth Repair Cafe, run by Eco Hub Aber in partnership with Repair Cafe Wales, offers free, volunteer-led repairs for household items to promote sustainability, fixing items like electronics, clothing, and small furniture.
Supported by Eco Hub Aber members, Aberystwyth Town Council and your donations.
Eco Hub Aber shines a light on different local environmental themes we can all take part in. Working with a number of organisations including:
- Woodland Trust & Llais y Goedwig to deliver free trees for local people,
- Sustrans to promote e-bikes,
- CAB and NEST for 1-1’s on energy efficiency and heat pumps,
- CREDU, Gofalwyr Ceredigion Carers and Oxfam on clothes swap events to promote the circular economy and supporting carers through a pre-loved school uniform pop up sale
- Cynnal y Cardi and CAVO to provide community cohesion after Covid through activities and meeting space
- Treegeneration who are developing a local community voucher scheme
- Transport for Wales and Machynlleth based Cambridge Solar and other local environmental organisations providing hot desking and space to share ideas.
- Ceredigion Council to provide eco workshops for young people

Who We Work With
Eco Hub Aber works with a wide range of partners to support local, sustainable, community-led action. Our work is supported by funders and public bodies including the National Lottery Community Fund, Welsh Government and Aberystwyth Town Council, alongside community organisations such as CAVO, CREDU, Gofalwyr Ceredigion Carers and Oxfam. We also collaborate with environmental partners including the Woodland Trust and Llais y Goedwig, as well as practical initiative partners like TrydaNi, Repair Café Wales, Citizens Advice (CAB) and NEST Wales. Together, we deliver projects that support climate action, reduce waste and strengthen our community.
